Program Description

The ALS Association Greater San Diego Chapter provides transportation to people who are suspected of having ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease or people who have been diagnosed with ALS, and to their families, friends and caregivers. Transportation is for medical appointments or support group meetings only. This chapter serves all of San Diego County and Imperial Counties. Their mission is to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global cutting edge research and to empower people with Lou Gerhrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The ALS Association Greater San Diego Chapter provides the following supportive services: advocacy, research, patient support programs, public education and information and clinical support for the UCSD ALS Clinic.
